Lana and Greg Woodburn acquired their first Portuguese Water Dog in 1985.  They found them to be a great breed with their two girls Jamie and Chay.  The Woodburns bred their first litter in 1989 under the Kennel prefix Del Sur.  They have bred and/or owned over 100 champions, including many National Specialty winners, Working Group winners and Best In Show winners.  Their dogs have also excelled in agility, obedience, and PWDCA water trial events.  In 2001 they were the Top producing kennel of AKC Champions and one of Top 10 producing kennels since 1991.

Most of their dogs are owner/breeder handled.  In 1997 Lana handled CH. Del Sur's Sea Bream to Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Bred by Ex. and daughter Chay, then 12, handled CH. Del Sur's Sea Ravin "Peaches" (a littermate) to Winners Bitch.  In 1999 Lana handled MISS CH. Del Sur's Makin a Splash "Splash" to victory at the National specialty with daughter Chay taking CH. Del Sur's Windruff Martini to Winners Bitch.  Both Splash and Peaches have gone on to produce Best In Show dogs.  In 2000 "Sprit" CH. Del Sur's Sea's The One was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners and Best bred by Ex. at the National Specialty.  Her dam Ch. Del Sur's Sea Ravin received an award of Merit and littermate Ch. Del Sur's Sea Bream received an Award of Merit.  The Woodburns also took home Best puppy with a son of CH. Del Sur's Windruff Martini.

In 2005 BIS AM./Can. CH. Del Sur's Makin All The Right Moves became the top Producer of Champions All Breeds with 26 Champions with a total of 43.

Both girls are grown up and are busy with their own lives; Jamie is a Teacher for preschool and Chay recently received her Nursing degree.

Greg enjoys riding his Harley and Lana continues to show and breed Portuguese Water Dogs.
